This is how some people feel about speaking another language other than their own:
One woman jokes that she's almost successful 成功的，in terms of her career 职业。
Another man thinks he's contributed something 做出了一些贡献 through his professional life 职业生涯 by teaching things and making things clearer. And he's been able to pay his bills 支付日常开支。
And another woman feels successful because she's doing what she wants to do.
